Data Science Workshop Telecommunications
In this project, we planned and conducted a three-day data science workshop for an international client in the telecommunications sector.

Challenge
Building data science competence systematically within companies is a central challenge in implementing digitalization strategies. Our client, an international telecommunications company, faced the challenge of wanting to familiarize their in-house analytics department with the use of R software for statistics and data science.
Approach
After initially clarifying the technical requirements, we collaborated with the client to develop a curriculum for three compressed workshop sessions. These focused, besides introducing the most important R packages from the "Tidyverse," particularly on the systematic handling of large datasets and the data.table package. Participants also received an introduction to visualizing and modeling their data using statistical methods and machine learning. The workshops consisted equally of theoretical foundations and practical sessions, where participants could apply what they had learned through programming exercises. The workshop was rounded off with a hands-on session, where participants could discuss their business problems with our consultants.
Result
After just a few workshop days, all participants were able to independently analyze their data with R and create initial analyses and models. Thanks to the mature didactic concept of our training, even participants with no prior programming experience could quickly and easily get started.
