Get ready for
the AI Act
The AI Act came into force in August 2024 and will be gradually implemented over the next three years. This creates new challenges for companies offering or operating AI-driven systems and services in the EU. Find out how the AI Act will affect your business with our AI Act Quick Check.
A legal framework for trustworthy AI in Europe is here!
By introducing the AI Act, the EU is creating a framework for trustworthy AI. This legislation is intended to ensure compliance with ethical principles and human rights. The so-called “AI Act” will have a disruptive effect on the entire AI landscape and defines numerous requirements for AI systems.
High Risk, High Requirements for AI systems
The AI Act pursues a risk-based approach. It defines four risk classes – from low to unacceptable risk. The higher the risk, the higher the requirements. Depending on the specific use case, the affected companies now have between 6 and 36 months to meet the requirements for each AI system.
High penalties for non-compliance
Non-compliance will result in a penalty of up to 35 million euros or 7% of a company’s annual revenue. For this reason, we recommend taking action at an early stage. You can already use our free AI Quick Check to make an initial assessment today. Determine the risk class of your AI systems based on a few questions and prepare yourself for the future!
