Our AI Development department serves as a facilitator for Data & AI transformation. We are taking a holistic approach, from the initial evaluation of AI maturity, through the design and development of data and AI solutions, to the practical implementation and scaling of AI solutions. Through our deep expertise in Data Engineering, Data Science, Machine Learning, we ensure that our clients gain the maximum value from their data.

• You will design and implement tailored AI solutions, with a particular emphasis on optimization challenges such as dynamic pricing for our diverse clientele across business sectors and research fields 
• Consequently, you will have close contact with various stakeholders and representatives of our customers on a regular basis 
• You will use Python to develop and optimize models and algorithms for various optimization and operational research projects, ensuring code is clean, scalable, and maintainable 
• Furthermore, you will oversee your own internal projects, such as hackathons, internal trainings, or blogs  
• You will actively contribute to different formats of internal knowledge exchange   
• You will also support our (senior) consultants in their daily tasks and client interactions, and actively participate in internal knowledge exchange and project discussions 

• You have completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in data science, operations research, mathematics, computer science, or other relevant fields 
• Ideally, you have already gained some practical experience in data science (e.g., through internships or university/personal projects) as well as consulting 
• Solid theoretical and practical foundations in optimization techniques (such as linear and nonlinear programming, integer programming, convex optimization, heuristic optimization), metaheuristic algorithms (like genetic algorithms, simulated annealing, etc.), and constraint programming are essential 
• Proficiency in Python programming is required, with hands-on experience in developing, testing, and optimizing code for diverse models
• Familiarity with optimization libraries and frameworks (e.g., SciPy optimize, CVXPY, Pyomo, Gurobi) is highly desirable 
• Furthermore, you should have a solid foundation in machine learning and artificial intelligence and be capable of applying these techniques effectively across various domains 
• Ideally, you have already gained some experience with agile working methods 
• You should also be a strong communicator, have very good German and English skills, and be able to prepare and present complex issues in a way that is appropriate for the respective target group (business, tech) 
• Furthermore, you distinguish yourself by your dependability as well as your thorough and structured work style 
• Lastly, you should enjoy occasional business trips to our customers on site in DE/AT/CH 

During our one-year trainee program, we will prepare you for a subsequent position as a consultant with a focus on Data Science in our team. You will benefit from a tailored development program that includes a variety of basic training courses (for example, project management and presentation styles) as well as intense mentorship. Simultaneously, you will be able to utilize and expand your knowledge in real customer projects. We can assure you one thing you’re learning curve will be steep!
